Once I’ve made my bed, I generally put my most valuable, highest-order thinking skills to use. This includes, of course, how I’m going to get to work, what I’m going to do when I get there, and all the other things I need to do to get ready for work.
The more I know about the process of getting ready for work, the better I can anticipate how I’ll be feeling and behave the morning I wake up to the fact that I will be starting my first day of work.
This is definitely something that we struggle with in our industry. People, in general, don’t seem to want to be honest about the stress they put into getting ready at the end of the day. That’s why most things we do in the morning, after 9:00 AM, are done with the intention of getting us ready for work the next day.
People who work on a team usually have a few things in common. They are all on their way to work, or in the early hours of the day, and they all work at the same time. However, there is a key difference between work and life. Work involves a lot of “doing” and the idea of “getting things done”. Life is about living and enjoying the present moment.
That’s why I’m putting so much effort into my work, so I can make it a priority. It’s not that I have no time for my own personal life. If I did, I would have to be very disciplined about it. I do take care of myself and my body, but I do it so I can get out of the house and have a good time. And I don’t expect to do this for the rest of my life.
I am working on a long project right now. The first thing that I did was make a list of all the things that I want to accomplish in the near future. Each item has a number associated with it. The higher the number, the more important the item. For example, I want to get an apartment in Vancouver within two months, so I can finally buy myself a home.
In the process of getting the list together, I’m also trying to see if there’s anything I need to think about.
Sometimes we need to take a step back and think of ourselves as a team, even if we’re just a few individuals. I have friends who run their own businesses, and they work together to make something that people will enjoy. I’ve also discovered it’s often helpful to get a small group together and hash out problems, so that one person can take over. I think the same principles can apply to any situation.
There are many ways to handle a team. But sometimes it’s helpful to have a little help. When my friend and I used to run a club together, we would go in one at a time and tackle problems together. After an hour or two of this, we would get together and agree on a list of problems and a solution. After the first couple of times, we stopped having to go in groups and just worked together on solving problems.
In all seriousness though, there are many ways to make your work more efficient. Sometimes you want a certain person to do certain things for you, and you want to have that person do them, while at other times you want to give that person a break. For example, I would never want a person to go into my office and hammer nails into my desk. My desk is pretty solid and the nails are not that long, and you would be putting yourself at risk for a few days.
