This morning I was going to pick up the mail from the bank. I had an email from the bank about a date I needed to pick up, but it would be a date I would go to the bathroom next morning, and I knew I would never come back. I sat in the living room, my computer screen blaring, and the phone rang. I stood up and began typing.
The phone rang again, but this time it was a call from my daughter.
Okay, maybe I am crazy. But my daughter has a weird sense of humor. She says she has a phone call, and when she doesn’t have a phone call, she can’t think of anything else to do. Like, she just got out of the shower, and now she’s sitting in the living room doing something stupid.
A few moments later she calls again, this time to ask if I wanted to go to the movies last night. Now that sounds like an odd request, but apparently my daughter has a weird sense of humor. She has a phone call but also a very specific request. She wants me to go to the movies with her.
There is actually a great deal more to this request than meets the eye. Although we’re pretty sure that this is not a joke, she is actually very serious. She is not going to let this opportunity pass her by. We must go back to the movies.
I can imagine what your response would be. Your response would be a sense of relief.
We’re not looking for a reason, but she is obviously very excited about the idea of going out with me. But, honestly, she doesn’t know what the movie theater is called and isn’t sure if I have a phone.
This is a good example of why it would be best if we didn’t take this to mean we don’t want to go out with each other. We are, as a group, so very much excited about going out and being with each other. We are going to be the best of friends and it is quite clear that we want to spend as much time as we can together.
The “death date” is actually an idea of a person who has recently left the party to be with other people. This is supposed to be the day they get together, but it turns out that this is supposed to be the day they leave the party. It turns out that that day is to be the day the party is supposed to happen.
This is a new addition to the game, and I for one am excited it will finally happen. A lot of time and effort goes into making a game that will actually have fun.
