I am still trying to find the best books on self-awareness. The problem is that there are so many and they are so diverse. I think the three I am going to focus on are “The Art of Self-Awareness” by Eckhart Tolle, “The Practice of Self-Awareness” by Eckhart Tolle, and “Self-Awareness: A Guide to Personal Transformation” by Eckhart Tolle.
In the case of The Art of Self-Awareness, the author of the book has a great way of describing how self-awareness relates to self-discipline. It’s basically this: “It is this practice of taking the greatest interest in one’s own thoughts and actions that will produce the greatest self-discipline and self-awareness. It is this practice that will produce the greatest self-control, and it is this practice that will produce the greatest freedom.
Self-awareness and self-discipline aren’t exactly the same thing. Self-discipline is when you control your own actions and thoughts in order to achieve positive results. Self-awareness is when you identify your own actions and thoughts so that you can take complete control of them. That’s a much different mindset. Self-awareness comes when you become aware of the thoughts and actions that are constantly in your way.
Self-discipline is a pretty lofty goal. We all know that what we’re aiming for is something that is hard for us to achieve. When you think about it though, what we’re aiming for is something that can be achieved with great success. And for many people, that’s what they’re aspiring for. So self-discipline isnt a bad goal at all. It’s just not our goal.
Thats a great attitude to have. Youll see a ton of people who are trying to achieve self-awareness and self-discipline but its not what theyre after. It just means that theyve become tired of the ways that we control our lives. We control our lives by limiting our thoughts, our actions, our thoughts.
I think the problem with trying to achieve self-discipline is that it means we have less of a life. The problem with life is that we dont have a life, we have to live. What we have are lives. Which are limited by our own minds.
Self-awareness is the ability to distinguish between what is real and what is unreal. To realize that the world around us is not real but is in fact something else. To recognize that our lives are not our own. To know that what we feel is actually not real but is something else. To recognize that what we say is not real but is in fact something else.
Well, when I think of what life is I think of a day where you wake up and get yourself ready for the day, get your work done, and then jump in the shower and go to bed. Or maybe it’s a day where you start your day by jumping in the shower and then starting your day by jumping into bed. Or maybe it’s a day where you wake up and get yourself ready for work and then jump into bed.
That last one is a bit of a stretch. When you jump into bed, you don’t actually get yourself ready. You just get yourself ready to get into bed. When you wake up, you get yourself ready to go to work, and then you get yourself ready to get to bed.
