I’m not quite sure where I live, but it’s a region in India that’s known for its rich and vibrant food culture. The area makes up of the cities of Delhi and Mumbai, along with the surrounding states of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
The food culture isn’t so rich right now, but Delhi and Mumbai are still very much in the spotlight for their excellent food. I had lunch recently in a restaurant called ‘Phally’ which was full of food as exotic as the city itself. Its name is a corruption of the word ‘Phally’ which means ‘Dumpling’ in Hindi. There were many types of dumplings, including those with meat, and they were delicious. I really liked the garlic chicken.
The restaurant is one of the oldest in Mumbai and has been doing business for over a hundred years. It is one of the few places which has been able to continue its business in the city for so long. I recently had lunch there and its food is an amazing treat.
The restaurant is owned by a very famous man in Mumbai, Ashok Chaterji. His restaurant is famous for its dumplings and its chicken, both of which I really liked.
I was looking into a restaurant in Mumbai called Dada’s, which is run by a very famous Indian chef. I was told they were closed. I’ve never been to Mumbai so I don’t know if this is true or not.
Dadas is a chain restaurant that serves Indian-style chicken dishes. The most famous one is the chicken dosa which comes in two different sizes. Chicken dosa is served with bread and salad, and the other size is just a rice patta. The chicken is served along with the dosa, and I think it is actually one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had.
